Added nitrous to my car.

because i think alot of it is more the machine than the driver (not all), its too linear for me, and its over too quickly. not to mention people brag about times that really dont mean much, way to often.
and i like going on a track and knowing even if i dont have a setup that stacks upto other peoples on any given day i can still wipe the track with most of my competitors regardless, simply by utilizing my cars streights and weakness's as well as mine. i dont think there is enough of that in drag racing. i dont mean to offend the sport, that is simply my perspective.
very well put, +1 respect

No I'm not you moron. It can easily be done. The best way to do it would be 8 injectors, 4 injectors for normal driving which can be tuned for great gas mileage and idle, then 4 injectors that come on when boost hits. Enough fuel to flow 700whp, yet while crusing down the highway you still get 30mpg since your only running on 4 smaller injectors.
Here's proof dipshits... http://forums.evans-tuning.com/viewtopic.php?t=185

Bahahahahahaha dude that is so hillarious, you actually think honda-tech is forum with anykind of good info? That forum is a complete joke lol...

Jeff Evans of evans-tuning.com (the website you claim to be shitty) is one of the best honda tuners in the country. His personal drag car made 650+ whp on stock sleeves and he has tuned a ton of SFWD high horsepower (500, 600, 700, 800+whp) hondas, not to mention 1,000whp supras and I'm sure I am missing a lot more. He has more honda experiance/knowledge than 99.999% of the people on honda-tech. Oh and a mechanial engineering degree? I could go on all day about the engines he has built or the parts he has designed himself. You could learn a thing or two from his website.

Seriously get a clue before making retarded comments like you have been doing...

whoever said its cheap to fix up a 4cylinder is lying. a ihave a freind with a stock gto and he has beat 4's with more than 5 grand worth of work just under the hood. those chevy ls engines can crazy horses for anything you do. a guy at a local car meet was talkin about just exhuast and cams and he was at more than 450 to the wheels. and thats not too much money at all probly less than 2 grand. how much would it take to make a honda put at 450 horses. probly a 10grand engine and another 5 or 6 grand in turbos.

i really think even 550 hp would be a little bit too much for that car on a track. but a little bit too much can turn into alot of fun real quick.
went go kart racing today, by the way. never been in a real one before (always been in those queer ones at the golf course or whatever). What a blast! i was timid at first but once the tires warmed up and i knew the boundrys my laptimes got alot better. my laptime was 5 seconds less on the 1's lap then it was on the 10th. and i was just getting it down. My brother ***** me though, but he goes to that track all the time.

go karts FTMFW!
I've been looking for a real go kart place around here, seems really fun //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I would guess with track racing you would care about more low end torque than HP. At least that's how it seems to be with the few guys I have talked to. Maybe one of these days I'll take them up on a offer to go with them in their car or take my car down there. Though I'll have to get my suspension finished up first.... I've been waiting on parts forever.

I would rather deal with an uneducated member a thousand times over one who only has half the facts and is ignorant. Therefore Honda-Tech is still the shit.

Low end torque is teh shit!. I figure with a port and polish my low end torque will not be as high, but it will make up for it with response. But yes, you are correct, low end torque is quite a factor especially on a course with lots of twists and turns rather then alot of straights etc.

Completely ignorant post.

Benson sleeved GSR shortblock $3,000, honda civic hatch $2,000, custom gt30r turbo kit maybe $2500, that's all the major parts including the car for about $7,500. Obviously you will need other crap, decent suspension, slicks, ******, etc...but for around $10,000 or a little more you will have an easy 10 second 500+ whp honda. It doesn't take much.

HONDA ENGINES ARE OVERPRICED

You making that statement shows how much of an idiot you are. If you knew anything at all you wouldn't even consider honda-tech a tech forum. It's the biggest joke of a honda forum on the internet, that's just common sense. Stop ignoring the truth and man up, your wrong. I can back up pretty much everything I have said with facts.

Your not pissing me off. I think it's funny I keep proving your stupid *** wrong lol.

I agree honda engines are overpriced, that's also one reason I stuck with my d-series motor instead of swapping to a b-series motor, parts are way cheaper (got a Z6 ****** for $40 after I mishifted and blew mine). Shit 4 forged pistons for $450! You can get 8 forged pistons for a V8 for about the same price! lol... That still doesn't change the fact about 10k will get you a reliable daily driven 10 second 500+ whp honda. See I was right, you quote me and change the subject just to keep arguing, lol... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

no, you are not right, have not been right on anything that i have challenged you with.

and why would someone spend 10k to get 500hp out of a honda block in a shatty FWD car when they could just get a 240, do a sr or rb ("the skyline motor"), hell with a rb25det you can get almost 500hp out of it stock, not to mention it only costs 2500 for that long block and you would get to put it in a real car (i.e. a car that puts power to the rear wheels, and steers with the front wheels)

WHY cant we ALL GET ALONG... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
