Im looking to get a new car and ive always liked the rsx. i was wondering how big the trunk space is. can i fit 2 12's? 2 15's?i know that its a hatch so building a box will be easy. Also what size of speakers come stock in it, both front and back? and are they any good?thanks

i put 1 p2 rockford fosgate 10" in my girl's rsx with a directed 600d amp.. stock headunit. pounds loud as ****, will post pics tomarrow morning in the light. custom box in the floor where the spare tire is, facing up, real clean and louder than most dual 12" setups i see people puttin in

I own an RSX,you can easily get 2 12s back there,15s are gonna be harder to install and overkill IMO.

The front speakers are normally 5.25s but I cut my doors and made room for 6.5s which takes

about 60 seconds with the right tool.

The rear speakers are 6.5s but I dont use rear fill so mine are empty

The cabin gain in a RSX is tremendous, I don't see any reason for more than a single high output 12 in the hatch area. Unless you simply want to go boom boom, and don't care about front stage and image.

ive experimented a bunch of alright systems in mine, pretty much anything gets loud

now i have 2 old 10w6 in a ported box i built and it gets way loud

now ive found what i like and am going with a 12 idmax ... i even think that might be overkill

This is the car that destroyed 4 Xtant X604 and X1001 amplifiers for one of my customers. We glassed the tire well and installed a pair of Eclipse aluminum 12's and mounted the amps, one on either side of the harch area. The subs were mounted dead center, one in front of the other because the wheel well does not sit dead center, this makes the subs sit mismatched if you want to go side to side. So lesson learned, this car has a huge potential for output and likes to destroy Xtant amps. The shock wave of the subs knocked the caps right off the boards of both amps, once I can see as a hiccup, 4 times though, I see a design flaw. Yes her car was loud, hovering around the mid 140's for output in a SQ based system.
