A new sub to go with my amp... need help.

That is my amp. I am almost positive, I will check when I get home.

But my 12" RE SX broke for the third time. So I am looking for a new subwoofer all together. So will a 12" Alpine Type R (2 ohm) be a good match?

Well, before I even hooked it up, I got it broken (used), then, I think the installer did something wrong when they hooked it up and it broke again. Then when I got it reconed again, its been working since june, but it started making a weird sound recently and I checked the amp to see all the levels, gain and bass boost ALL THE WAY UP. So the distortion probably broke the sub...

stay with the sx. a type r would be more of a downgrade then a upgrade. do a little research on here on how to install and set gains, etc .... and just DIY

So you have been through over a grand of SX and now you want a $100 type R??

Maybe learn how to do your own installs and set your own gains and bass boost - you are downgrading to a sub thats rated at 750 rms from a RE SX.

I would have the latest SX looked at and maybe reconed, if you let other people do your installs you are never gonna be happy.
