I'm starting to get things around to build a ported enclosure for one 12" Memphis PR that will be going in to a Crown Vic. The issue that I'm having is which way to face the sub and port. The Crown Vic has an unusual trunk (shown below).

Where that umbrella is now, I plan on making a false floor to hide the full-sized spare, and putting the enclosure on top of it.
Now what, in your opinion would be the best orintation for the sub and port.
Also, I was looking over the free box plans that are stickied on top of the page and seen a couple that I may go with.

However, could I place the sub anywhere on the box I please, ie. top of the box and fire the port back?
Another things, hows 2^3 @ 32hz for a PR?
TIA
