A good sounding system with no sub?

anyway, those 6x9 subs are interesting. at first i just assumed the 6.5" midbass would be best, but if i could find something in a 6x9 it would probably be easyer.

those tang band 6x9s have roughly the same surface area as a 8'' driver so if it was me i would rather use the stock location than having to modify it for a 8''. tang band is known for its bass output using small drivers. I am planning on using some tang band 8''s in a upcoming project.

yea definately a good idea. i think they are worth trying.

i wouldnt mind getting the 8ohm ones and wiring them up to 4ohms. that way i could get some comps in the front, running off a 4 channel amp and then bridge the 2 back channels into mono. thats really a good idea. you got me thinking now.

the main question now is if i could free air them, or if i have to make the rear deck into a box somehow....

If its a beater car, I would just do 2 8s for the rear and cut up the back to fit them. Easy simple and would sound good

if you end up using the tang band subs post a thread after you get them installed letting us know how they sound. i am interested in how a 6x9 sub sounds.

i would like to use them, but i dont have the money to do it. im already starting my new system, and its too late to turn back now.
