A few questions.

I have a 98 grand cherokee 5.9 with the infinity gold system. As I understand it the factory set up is 2 ohm's I replaced the rear door speakers with infinity kappa 62.9i's which are rated at 2 ohms as well(4ohm with wiring?). My issue is the speaker produces no treble and even the bass kinda sounds muted. Does this sound like a bad amp or does the factory infinity amp have built in crossovers and sends no treble to the rear door speakers? If I hook jumper wires to the back of the radio and into the speakers they sound fine. Or are the speakers really a 4OHM and just aren't getting enough power?

I will eventually be replacing the factory head unit with a clarion cz500 once a replacement comes as the first one had a defective display. I tested the speaker jumpered to the clarion headunit.

Also when I get the money I will replace the factory amp with a 4 channel amp and run the sound bar off the head unit and the front and rear doors off the 4 channel amp. is this a good strategy? Or should I run the sound bar and rear door speakers in parallel? Will it matter that the stock sound bar speakers and the droos are 4 ohm? I am also adding in a sub (audiobahn 1200q with alpine m350 amp).

The factory infinity system has components in the front doors ( will be replacing with kappa components as the stock woofers are blown) rear door 2 way speakers and a sound bar in the storage area with components. I plan on keeping the sound bar speakers stock for now as they sound fine.

Sorry for the long post any help would be appreciated.

i suspect teh factory amp has filtered outputs. common for premium systems.

you have a good strategy. upgrade the HU and power the door speakers from teh HU until you can afford to add a 4 channel amp for the door speakers. once you upgrade the HU, bypass the factory amp.

^^^this, I have worked on a few of these and they are all rear bass speakers, the reason they sound mutted too is because the factory ones that Infinity put in there are more or less paper cone and have a much higher sensativity so the lower amount of power that amp is putting out made those sound fine, while your Kappa's have lower sensativity and require more power to sound normal
