A few questions bout a 16v setup

What all do I have to do to switch over to a 16v setup? I know I need 16v batts but how do I go about adding that in to the cars factory electrical?

2 wain ways

upgrade factory alt to a HO with an an ext regulated to charge up high for 16v batts, and use step downs to run stock stuff and a 12v batt. the stepdown will reduce voltage 3 volts as not to damage stock stuff

or keep stock alt and add another in place of AC or some other place that can charge at 18+ for only sub amp and 16v batts

been talked outta doin the 16v setup, found out the amps I'm wantin to use don't do too well on 16v daily so I'll just stick with a 12v setup
