I've got some experience building boxes, but usually just the spec with what comes with the sub, or sealed boxes built to spec for the woofer.
I'm getting a Pioneer Premier TS-W2501D4, and I need to get my box design together so that I can get it built when the sub gets here.
Recommended enclosure volume for a ported enclosure is .9 ft^2. Is the area of the port included in this total? I'm tuning it for use with mostly metal and 'headbanger boogie', so I'm thinking 45Hz? Should I go a little higher? 50, maybe?
