I got out of the car audio scene a couple years ago when I went off to college, but now I sold my buddy my 2 12 inch type Rs and am helping him build a system. He just bought a fairly new passat with a decent stock system (that he wants to keep), but wants the to add the subs. Here are my questions:
Been looking at the RF T10001bd - will this be a good amp to push these subs?
Would it be necessary to get a cap for this setup?
Does he need an external high pass crossover so his stock speakers aren't playing the lows?
What size enclosure do the subs need (keep in mind these are previous gen)?
Finally, how much should it cost for a custom box (mdf) + install + wiring?
