99 Taurus install (pics)

I don't think my subs are playing voices I never really listened I know the vocals you hear are from the rear speakers, they go into the truck.

I do plan to run the RCA's and remote down the passenger side.

I think in the near future I'm going to be getting a new amp probably when I get the wiring kit because I'm waiting for money from taxes.

Any recommendations for that I'm looking for something that I have room to upgrade subs. Price range around 300$ preferably less.

After thinking about things over and over I've decided I want to redo my whole sub stage. I'm thinking I would only like a single sub in there probably a 15" I've been looking at FI subs honestly I really don't know what I should be looking for at the moment I'm just looking for a higher RMS probably not going about it the right way. I want something that will really bang and have good quality. The only concern is having something that will run on my running electrical system I'd rather not have to get a new battery or alt. I planned on getting a 4ga kit but if needed I could get something bigger. So any suggestions on subs + amp I'd like to keep the total as much under 1000 as I can. Thanks in advance.

I have the same car and I think i remember that it has 110 amp stock. You are prolly going to want to do something with your electrical eventually. As far as the tweeters there are just a couple of screws then the cover pulls out and you can access the stock tweeter inside.

you sure 15inch can fit inside a taurus trunk? i have a taurus to i ll show u some pictures of my setup to and the wires do make it to the trunk i have the same setup as you http://www.crutchfieldcanada.com/Scosche_OEM_Adapter_96_up_Ford_Taurus_Mercury_Sabl_p/142f134030.htm

send me a message i can help you out more cause most of my stuff is like yours and you dont need 4 gauge wire unless your subs are more than 400watts rms

and to take out the tweeters u need to take out the screw in the middle of that black thing but dont change it cause the size is kinda messed up

ohhhh man, that's what i like to hear...

for 1,000 you can do almost anything within' reason on ebay, or find an online dealer like when you first go to caraudio.com and there are the top website things, the usually have warranties, but if i were you with your space keep it to dual 12's, i'd go kicker cvr's with the zx750.1, or if you really felt like keepin it G go with the cvx's and the zx1500.1, which is right around $1000 for everything...

but my friend got the cvr's everything for like under $500 (all new, factory packaging) two 12 cvr's, zx750.1 amp which the actual reading was 924 watts, box, and wiring... that's the best money saver in my eyes, just ebay it all haha

good luck

The amp is a kenmore I didn't feel like putting the plate back on last night. It's temp till I can get more power goin but it does the job well.

Mount your amp to your fold down seat.

I have the same car just different year.

I can take some pics of what I did that will you show you how to make your install really really clean. If you want of course. Im sure I could help with any questions you might have.

I was thinking about doing that but I fold down the seats a lot to let the bass come through. I'm thinking about mounting it on the box but I don't want to mess up the amp with all the vibration.

When you put down your rear seats.

You will see four large bolts in the corners. I believe I attached my ground to the bottom left bolt (when looking at it from inside the cabin).

Remove the bolt and sand down the paint to bare metal. Attach you ground wire to a ring terminal. And use a nut that will fit over the bold to hold it down.
