Woo hoo, finally got everything done...was a little reluctant to post my build log, as it probably isn't very clean or professional looking as some of your guys's builds.

The final product actually works outstanding. It sounds JUST as clean as the sealed box did, but is definitely way louder. Before, with the sealed box in, the rear view mirror and side mirror didn't shake really at all...now they both do, and I can't use my rear view mirror if I want to listen to my system loud. So I think that's a pretty good indication that things are louder.

Onto the pics!

I love this table saw! It's the ***. It does 45 degree angles too! Sexay...also take special note of the kitty litter/dresser drawer table, lol

All boards are cut, except the board for the subs!

A mess is a brewin'

Clamps?! Clamps are for chumps!!!...or those that have 'em

P1050056.jpg

Don't have a compass or any of that crap...trying to do some math to figure it out

Then I saw that the 25lbs weight had the same diameter! Woo hoo!

The weight ended up being an epic fail...the cutout was too big for the subs. I ended up going online and getting a template, which worked out great. Notice how perfect those circles are! haha

Subs are in...front board is on...terminal cup is in!

The port is in! It fits! Ohh yeahh

Box is almost done. Man I love not having clamps!

Screws!!!

Box is in, it fits!!

Didn't really know how to make the port perfect...but it works. Could be a little longer, but **** it sounds GREAT! Very happy that everything ended up working out so well!

Oh yeah, even though the port looks a little uneven in this pic...it isn't!

The bandpass has 2ft^3 for the sealed portion and 2.5ft^3 for the ported section. The box is tuned at 50hz!

Thanks everyone for the nice replies. I had a bandpass blow through in my old tempo (lol) that was a little loud, but wasn't very clean...I can't believe how clean this sounds, how precise everything hits, and how it doesn't sound sloppy. Was really afraid to lose the clean sound the sealed box had, glad I didn't lose it!

how big r the chambers...and cut that port 2 inches its alittle on the long side..u will be louder
80
The sealed portion is 2 cubes and the ported section is 2.5 cubes. The port is cut to length according to WinISD and bassboxpro...it's tuned at 50hz.

Thanks guys! It is different, and I was REALLY afraid it'd sound like ***...but thankfully it all worked out.

I didn't put some plexi on there...because I'm not too sure where to get it. It would be nice to show 'em off, but I'll let the sound do the talkin'. If someone asks, I'll let them know I've got 2 12" funky pups rockin' the house. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

How do you calculate something like this? I want to do a blow through 4th order like this and only have the port coming through the back of my truck and I have 6 inexpensive 10's that call for .9 CF for each sealed, how huge would this thing be for these?
