97 4Runner Groundpounder Build

Attached tweeters to the sails, after soldering the wires back on. Came out pretty good for being kind of a hack job, imaging is nearly identical. These are gonna look good covered in grill cloth.

Random install stuff that showed up today while I was gutting another 4Runner at a junkyard.

3 Fuse Holders w/ 300A fuses

50ft of 16 gauge speaker wire

20 feet of 8 gauge (10 Black, 10 Blue)

lots of 2/0 Lugs

Pair of speaker plugs for the Alpine PDX.

Got my whole interior gutted today, got all of my tan stuff out of a 4Runner in the Junkyard, and grabbed some Tan leather, heated, power recline and sliding seats from an Infiniti QX4, awesome shape all for only 550$, crazy deal if you ask me.

And another great thing, my eBay volt meter reads correctly and fits the factory clock hole like a glove!

Tweeter panels fit and look great, old door panels, not so much.

Nice dude, looks much better now that you did it. Might have looked better with tan cloth to match the dash? Either way the panels look good. You gonna redo the door panels?

I've got a full set of Tan SR5 door panels ready to go in within the next week, as well as every other tan piece of the interior. There is a lot of black around the dash area, gauges, center console, center part of the dash, gauge surround, door switches, it should look just fine. The picture makes the cloth look gray from the flash.

Oh ok, if you've got other black pieces it will look good. And yeah, I noticed that too when I took pics that it looked kinda grey. But it's definitely black. Nice job man. How do they sound? And it looks like they're aimed at the opposite seat's headrest?

Yep, aimed at the oppisite headrest, No clue how they sound, just a test fit, don't even have seats in the car right now.

Lot's of hours put into the car over last 3 days, probably around 20 hours.

Here's some pics.

Everything but the dash (Already swapped) is out of the car

Thanks @Kangaroux ; for the Lanzar 6m Mids, these things are really monsters

Next to a DD6.5CS mid that's rated at 105RMS, No doubt that the Lanzar can handle the 100W I'll be throwing at it.

Re-did my roof insulation while the headliner was already out, Toyota used small panels stock so the rain gets pretty loud and annoying, this should fix it.

2/0 went through the firewall with ease.

And the old, ugly door panels that are on the way out, the interior in this truck was disgusting, I'm gonna love to show off this transformation.

One of my Infiniti QX4 seats, we just finished up the mounts for the last seat earlier today. These are the plushest seats I've ever laid ass on, more comfortable than any Ford/GM/Dodge leather I've seen.

And what my new door panels look like, should have the full interior in tomorrow.

It's all done, looks 100x times better than the original, also might be getting some help building the box from my dad's friend who builds cabinets. Will post pics of the interior tomorrow.
