View attachment 26553012View attachment 26553011Got my alt plugs today and made a harness for my two additional alts. For now I will be running my stock alt for the truck and my Singer 270 and I picked up a Js ultimate alt 200 amp for the stereo. But I think I want to use the 200 amp for the truck and get another Singer 270 or bigger for the stereo. I am going to wait and see how she does on 520 amps-counting truck alts extra, of alt first. Also going to add another JB Black Cherry in the rear and get a new set of @NRG buss bars.

When out to put in a new switch and wiring for the additional two alts today and my ADHD kicked into overdrive and I started taking out my alarm and redoing it all !lol. It really needed it bad ! Now everything is soldered and heatshrinked and splitloomed and it came out nice but I forgot to shoot pics But I did once I got on to the switch and wiring and it came out nice too. I was at work when I added the switch and cut the square hole with a hacksaw blade and razor knife ha ha !

Don't worry about redoing things 2nd time.

I have ADD myself and sometimes I gotta step back think a little, like plan it out 1st, before going balls to the wall with things. Sometimes I just pace myself so I don't hurry and either ruin something or injure myself.

 
Got my alt bracket and alts put in tonight. It wasnt too bad. Only they didnt say anything about the stock airbox not working with it So I gotta order an intake kit for it with the smaller K&N style air cleaner UGH ! Anyone have any experience with intakes ? Like whats a decent one at a decent price ? Other than that I all went together pretty well, ran some more 0 gauge so each alt has its own run to batterys in rear. Want to find a load tester so I can see what the alts are putting out.

Starting a new amp rack too. Since @WRXer showed me his design mine looked like doo doo so i had to scrap it lol!
Got tired of trying to measure out the amps and move them around so I made some faux amps from scrap wood to specs web site shows. Its a lot easier to what if and move around. Gotta get some more wood tomorrow and get busy!

there was an actual dyno on intakes for GM trucks and one of them ended up giving the best results but i forgot about it ugh let me lookfor it and ill post the thread here

Got a cold air intake off ebay today it was one with the semi air box heat shield kinda thing around filter so it still gets air from outside engine compartment. Its no K&N but I wasnt looking for power gains just an airfilter to fit with the tripple alts, it was only 80 bucks and of course it didnt fit lol ! what did I expect ? ha ha I just cut it down redrilled sensor hole where i wanted it and made it fit and it came out nice. I dont know it cutting it down hurts its tuning any but I doubt its really tuned anyway. I only got it because my stock airbox wont fit with the triple alts. No check engine lites so thats a win in my book ! I have a lot of room around alts now , another win ! I still want to do a little more with it to clean it up and cut the box down a little - metal box come close to battery terms lol to close !

don't be surprised if you actually lose MPG and HP with that lol there's a lot of people who will say those are worse but it doesnt really matter enough for our design goals

the factory airbox and intake are pretty ideal to begin with, that's why i havent bothered changing mine. much more gains to be had in other areas
