Need help with design for Sundown X12 v2 @29Hz.

I'm not the one building the box but a local shop is. I want it tuned to 29 hz but the guy said he would have to make the box quite a bit bigger and have to build it in my trunk which would mean $500+.

Vehicle : 2000 Ford Taurus

Location in the vehicle: Trunk

Space available (Length x Width x Height): 45x40x19

Subwoofer make and model: Sundown Audio X12 v2 D2

Subwoofer Size: 12"

Number of Subwoofers: 1

Type of Port (Kerfed, Slot, Aero, etc.): slot

What type of music do you like?: Rap/Decaf (25-35Hz is where I like)

Is your goal SPL or Everyday Music?: Daily

Tuning Freq (Hz): 29. I just want that 25-35hz to do the best. So maybe 29 isnt right.

Volume : Sundown recommends 2.5cuft with 40sqin of port

This is the design that the guy made up, but i dont want 32hz tuning.

Ive seen other people online with boxes smaller but tuned lower. What do. Anything else you guys need let me know. Im going to have him build it this tuesday.

I'd tune around 32hz, you'd still play down to the mid 20's easily. Either way I'd find a new box guy, that guy is obviously an idiot. If I'm looking at it right, he's trying to run a single 12 in 4cuft. Give me a minute and I'll hook you up with a design

Yeah , 4cu for one sub sounds way too big for a single 12". Best box I ever built was 4cu tuned to 32hz in 2 12"s. It is bad to the bone !!!
