Budget is $2400. System goal is to slam on music and have the end result look extremely clean.
Equipment:
2x 18" HDC3's SoundQubed
2x 2200 watt amps Sound Qubed
50' Cadence 0 gauge
2x C&D g31 batteries
Pioneer 8400 deck
Box:
10-11 ft^3 @ 35 Hz
4x 6" hand made flared ports
back seats stay in
box built within vehicle due to its prohibitively large size
designed with a pencil and a TI-89
Side panel was in the way so it was cut out. Carpet will be used to cover this up.
Starting of the box. Everything at this point is just with screws.
The port flares will be cut using a 1.5" radius roundover bit.
Three layers of wood were glued up, which will soon be cut using the above bit. They will be used for the internal and external flares for the ports. 6" PVC will be used as the port tubes.
C&D batteries model UPS12-370R. They were benched at about 1000 amps cranking and were $80 each from the local interstate distributor. At a later date a new alternator and front battery will be installed.
The equipment arrives soon and I expect to have this build completed by the end of next week.
