8" sub recommendations

Never ordered anything there. Looks like they ship from Walmart? Looks like they're sold out anyway. For that price and 25% off, I'd jump all over that.

Google express is just a front end for a whole bunch of retailers. They are trying to establish (I think) so have tons of coupons right now.

I'm going to give it a few days and see if the NVX's come back in stock. I could get 4 subs and shipped free for $129. That's a steal. I'd even have some extra headroom if I get an amp with a more powerful sub channel. They're 250rms and the amp I'm getting would only give them 150rms each.

Yeah. For the $$ I'd get the Massive subs. $217 shipped and they'll outplay those NVX's.

I'm more so concerned with SQ over SPL. They're going in a supercrew pickup so it'll be plenty loud either way. I don't have enough power for 4 anyway. I'm only pushing 600rms through the sub channel.

Cut any peaks in the sub bass. Match the phase to the mid range. Don’t have the sub bass more then a few DB higher then the mid range.

You have SQ in the sub region.

Yeah. If you can’t do that then it won’t matter what you use.

This will be my first go at a DSP and an active front stage, so I'm sure there will be a learning curve. But I'm always down for a challenge.

I’ll have 1.6 cubes for all 4. Why not skar? Are they that bad? I’d be interested in the MB’s if they weren’t shallow. The subs will be under the seat down firing but don’t need to be shallow. Ive got over 5” of mounting depth to work with so full size subs will work. I feel like the shallows won’t have the excursion to hit the lows.

Those are above the budget and I don’t think I’ll have enough mounting depth to let it vent properly.

I have the nvx. They’re decent for what they are. But they struggle on lower notes. You can hear mechanical noise a lot more than normal anything I play below box tunning. But they’re also tuned at 36.

How many are you running? I love the low notes so I'd love to find something that has a little authority down low. That's why I was going with 4 of them even though they're going to be sealed.

If you want sub bass and sealed the box needs as much airspace as possible.

Not recommended specs. It will handle less power but you will lower F3.

One thing I just noticed from the manual for the NVX is that 250rms is recommended for ported and 400rms is recommended for sealed. If that's the case, I'm not going to be pushing enough power for 4 sealed. I will only have 600rms total on tap.

It will be fine. 200 watt difference don’t matter.

And the bigger the box the less power is needed.
