Mystery subwoofer ....

I have an 18" FI Audio Btl with what looks like a DC audio recone which is supposed to be dual 2 ohm but Everytime I check the impedance I am getting 2.8 per coil and 1.6 in parallel... DC doesn't make dual 3 ohm and neither does FI. So how is it that I have a FI motor, DC dustcap, and maybe a JL recone maybe? Lol.. anybody have any ideas? Or are these readings possible for a dvc2 ohm??

I am getting a .4 reading from my dmm but still I feel like that's odd because I've checked other speakers and gotten usually lower the resistance of the sub... Like a raging of 1.8 or 1.9 for a 2 ohm sub not 2.8

I use D2.7 coils. It is probably not an OEM coil but that's not terribly unusual DCR. 4 subs coils parallel make .7 ohm which gets you a bit more power than 1 ohm and is a bit easier on amps than .5

Run that into a 2 ohm stable amp or two 1 ohm stable amps strapped and it's a good match. That is NOT a great impedance for running single sub for most applications though.
