Will the at bass knob work with the ct series amps?
That was a selling point for me as well was the knob and the white looks clean with the fancy blue LED . I just looked on the website and the AT knob ISNT compatible with the CT amps. So if anyone has actual proof of it working thats a game changer lol

Idk if that is true. All those bass knobs are made by the same company. Go look at the Sundown version of it and it is exactly the same just says Sundown on it. I've used Sundown bass knobs on my Cab amplifiers with no issues. They told me that no Sundown bass knob will work with a Cab amplifier and that wasn't true at all. Might be worth testing out at worse you sell it for a couple dollars loss to someone else.

Sorry.. I got the two mixed up. This is the one. I plan on getting one ordered by the first week of next month

Yes they are on back order and the 692 wont fit in my subaru. the 602 will. Just wanted to know if the 602 will be just as good as the 692. Just a difference in a 6x9 to a 6.5 speakers
I dont think you will notice that much of a difference to be honest. Sensitivity is within 1db for 1, RMS value is within 20 watts and the frequency is 5htz more on the 6.5s compared to the 6x9s.Its not that much of a real difference to be honest. Its going to depend on the installation and what amplifier is used and how its tuned. You will have more choices from a 6.5 speaker than 6x9s if you decide to make upgrades at a later time. The 6x9s will be just a tad louder, but not by much looking at the specs and play just a hair lower

I've owned all three of the recomended speakers here and just installed some of the new Pioneer Z (CH) series (which I rank up with the $500+ Morel and Focals, I know, shocker but they are phenominal!. If you want to get more from what you already got, try going woth the 2ohm NVX V series 6x9 compenents, they will give you more from your amp at a given wattage as they are 2ohm load speakers. If your amp is not 2 ohm stable, try the NVX "X" series, go to sonicelectronics, great very high performance mid budget speakers for the money. These are all good and believe it or not, the 6.5" Pioneer TS-Z65CH 6.5" are really an outstanding sleeper of a speaker, very high res!
i am actually tempted to install this pioneer z65ch but my car has stock 6x9 openings for the front.and i am also a bit concerned about the apparent harsh sounding tweeters.
would u suggest i still go for these or go for some 6x9 components?

If you have the 6x9 openings, find a good pair of 6x9 comps. 6x9is closer to ajn 8" and you cannot make up that difference unless you spend a whole lot of money on something like TM6'sor Rainbow Profi Crystal cones. These would be my budget 6x9 comps:

woah, did not expect such a quick reply.. first of all thank you so much for going out of your way to link all these suggestions. so actually i was also considering the nvx x series 6x9 and kappa 90csx..but nvx speakers reviews are so up and down so i had to back down on that.. liked the kappa 90csx and was so close to buying them as found them locally but couldnt find the kappa 62ix to pair them. alternatively i was also considering jbl stadium 960c which is similar to kappa 90csx . was leaning towards pioneer z series as i can get both z65ch and z65f locally for $412. right now i am torn between pioneer z series and hertz cento pro cpk 690. you have any idea about hertz cento pro cpk 690?

I would add that unless yo need to put components all around, there is really no need. Find the best 6x9 components where their impact on the midbass is significant, get the matching model coaxial for rear, ir even just the midwoofer half, really don't need to have tweeters behind you if you're going for sound quality and excellent staging up front.

First off, the ZF crossovers do not do the Pio's andy favors as the crossover circuit does not allow for any attenuation of the tweeter as the ZCH does allo for flat, -3 and -6 and better components make a big difference in the two. the ZCH has the far better crossovers and they make a big difference. The ZCH has the bigger 6.5" motor too, only the tweeters are the same. All the same, I'd opt for the 6x9's wherever you can put them, which means getting matching 6.5's if that is the case.

The NVX have great sound, that tweeter is from Germany and it's quite good, especially in that price range. I didn't see that you are in Qatar, that changes pricing quite a bit with somelines, like Xcelsus, Helix, Rainbow and other lines.. The Hertz are very good, but in that neck of the woods, might want to look at a few others too.

Something like these up front (assuming that you are purchasing from the likes of Amazon UAE)

And these in the rear.

Both are very good speakers, surprisingly clear but subtle, smooth and accurate.

In the price range of the hertz, I'd be checking out the Morel Tempo line too.

How are you planning on driving the speakers? Kind of a waste you're investing in these kinds of drivers unless you are providing some serious power and processing (optional but a serious upgrade for active systems) in the neighborhood of 100-150 per channel. Additionally, if you're only stationed in Qatar and are buying shipping to the US, that also changes things.

If you have the option to go fully active, that opens up a hole lot more options too. CDT is a fantastic option, price and quality wise if you don't need to account for the price for the additional crossovers you need for a passive setup.
