6th order wall design

not the case with high motorforce subs, they like IT SMALL. buddy's 4th got way louder with more bandwidth when we shrank it. Apparently alphard db 3 12s need about half a cube sealed or less according to the loud russians that run them. buddy had them 1 cube. could only shrink to .75 cubes.
you see where i said depends on the sub? if his QT is .58 he could have paper-handling problems, if he has something low Q low FS smaller is better. always start big and work your way down! you know this!

you can do a 6th order parallel configuration? its still way louder than 4th order. you can use the left side for the higher tuned small section and the right side for the larger lower tuned section. 7 to 9 cubes is plenty for the lower tuned section and about half that for the higher tuned section..

screws up your potential for a higher ratio hence limiting your spl capabilities.
what do you mean? higher ratio isn't always better. generally higher ratio means wider bandwidth but ideally you want the box big enough to adequately peak where you need without loosing compliance and destroying the woofers.. the sealed chamber determines your low-end response and dampening. so going small will limit low-end. like i said its very different for different woofers.

my woofer likes around 2.75 and 4.5 but its totally different from his im sure.

Winisd will get you close FYI..

winisd is complete garbage for 4th orders.

There's guys that do 10 to 1 ratios doing massive numbers and 5 to 1s that are loud with music capabilities as well.

i was thinking 6th order. for 4th order the sub is directly controlled by the rear chamber so higher ratio will give you a larger peak. just like it would ported.

always start big and work your way down

Cannot do a paralell configuration.

One of the loudest non extreme vehicles in Cali is my buddy Rays tahoe. Running a 5:1 4th, plays music fine.

Thats mainly why we are considering a high ratio
