Doesnt matter. prefering a high Q sealed box for SPL?

He is of course correct about the small sealed enclosures absorbing large amount of power, but thats a natural aspect of the woofer/air suspension combination. NOT ideal at all for SPL, you're loosing a TON of energy thats just being given off as heat just in order to get loud with a small box. When you could be doing way higher numbers with the same exact sub in WHATEVER flavored ported enclosure and be able to concentrate ported air suspension attributes in whatever tuning strategy you desire.

The tuned enclosures are great, and no one said otherwise, I said "I" prefer a small sealed enclosure on a ton of power because the OP said he is NOT going for a DB system.

This makes a comp DB debate moot. I'm catering to the OP's interests. I do however fully back my tuned port enclosure for a single sub design.
