6th Order bandpass for DD1508

By the way, might be the wrong place to ask about this, it should probably be a thread in it self, but how does a 6th order work exactly? I mean, I understand the basic principle, it's like a 4th order, except two ported instead of 1 sealed, so you get two different ported enclosures basically making the pass band range of the box wider with less of a one note wonder peak. My question is... wouldn't the box sound like two subwoofers working out of phase? When the sub moves one direction, one port inhales while the other exhales, the sub moves the other direction and it repeats just backwards and vice versa. Wouldn't this just sound like alot of rushing air with no actual sound pressure being created? the sub fires into chamber#1 that pressure which is tuned via the port effects the tuning of the low end or chamber#2
these boxes are made to play a really narrow freq band but yeild a very nice +db boost at the tuned freq of chamber1 and 2.

do it wrong and oyu have a mess for sound. these boxes are very boomy sounding if oyur into tight acurate bass 'SQ lovers' this box shouldnt ever be a thought in your head, but they can prodice some serious SPL in the freq band if its tuned right //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i thought about doing one of my own but for 4 of them it was just going to be to big for the vehicle.

If you wouldn't mind, do you have a link to a post or thread explaining it? I've checked stickies, and I know the general principle behind it, that's all that is explained on most "informational" websites, they just don't go indepth enough for what I'm after.
