I've got a '69 Chevelle too but I'd rather focus on the engine rather than audio, partly because the trunk lid would make ******* horrible rattle even at low volumes. To each his own huh

cover your trunk in 75sq of audiotechnix and this wont be the case

Honestly these old school muscle dont' rattle as much as the newer stuff. My 66 GTO doesn't rattle AT ALL, albet it is only 200-400 rms not a Sundown 3000
