550$ Sub + Amp

Ok my deal is i have about 550$ to spend on subs and an amp.....

i listen to pretty much everything, but mostly hardcore/punk(a lot of double kick)....so i need something thats not sloppy.....but i also want some spl.

So right now im thinking of 3 AA assassin 10s (3 so that i can get it down to a 1.25 load....) in a sealed box.

then for amp either a Hifonics BXi 1206D or a 1606D if u guys think the extra power would be beneficial.

i was wondering what everyone thinks of that setup, and if u could suggest anything that would be better in that price range. I'm pretty open to anything.

and on another note, kinda unrelated. My amp is rated 97x2 rms (Infinity Reference 7521a). I dont know if it actually puts out that much, doesn't seem like it. My speakers (CDT Audio EF-61) can handle 120 rms apparently. Do u think it would make a big difference to get a more powerfull amp?

maybe a power acoustik amp, those are always good if your on a budget.... assasins are a good choice though

The Power Acoustik A1800DB is slightly cheaper than the Hifonics BXi 1606D and is rated 200W rms at 1Ohm less.......i'm willing to spend the extra little bit if the hifonics will actualy put out more power. also will power acoustic last any longer than the hifonics? i mean i know i'm going pretty cheap on the amp so im not expecting it to last forever or put out too close to its rated power....hence the 550W rms to the 250RMS recommended sub......if i keep the gains under control i should have a problem with blowing the sub will i?
