well they are completly different subs, and if you are looking for spl, which is probably the case, then it would work great given enough power.

what amp? i believe they are dvc 3 ohm... anyways that would do pretty well but they can take a lot more like 3000rms (correct me if i'm wrong) and with the right enclosure it would kick some serious A S S

but yeah 1500 rms will shake the crap out of whatever car you have, i heard one last week and my gf's fell down when she walked passed the car lol, they were doing a 35 hz test or something, gotta say though i was surprised by their sq, no where near the mags but still dam n

by the way, djman, how much are the 9912? 9915?

and stang, you might save a bit longer and go for the 99xx, they are on a whole new level

P.S have you looked into audioque? pretty much the same as dd but cheaper

thanx leon my firend adam has 2 9512's in a corrola wagon on a audiobahn 4kd and its loud as SH*T the cars side pannels flex and it rattles like hell i was thinkin about using either a orion 1200d or a ed9.1 b/c i dont wnat to have to upgrade the elcetrical. oh yea i have a 94 mustang gt so building a box is a b*tch

if i wasn't so tied up right now i could have built you one, i used to have a 95 gt so i understand lol

i say go for the orion for the sub, just my opinion

anyways, your alt should be fine but do a 1/0 gauge big 3 and maybe a yellowtop, personally i may look into doing 1/0 gauge amp kit all around

oh and DO NOT BUY A CAPICITOR, THEY ARE USELESS!!!!!

optima redtop for starter (underhood) yellow top in trunk (car audio) and get a battery isolator...

meh isolators aren't really necessary unless you plan on playing it for a while with the car turned off. and 9512's aren't 3ohm dvc...and just throw a yellow top under the hood and in the trunk.
