.5 ohm

Whether people say it's .5 ohm stable or not (people running it @ 0.5 for comps doesn't meant that it's stable) if it makes the power you need at 2 ohms, that's where I'd run it. The amp will run much cooler and draw less current. It's much easier to find a powerful 2 ohm rated amp than to find a 0.5 ohm rated amp the reliability is going to be much better.
