there are options for it, they go bigger when you get the cold weather package and other craps. i checked it cause there is a shop in town that could bump it up for cheap. are you looking at on 07 or an 06? they are completly different trucks. oh and the 5.7 motor

I see 130amp, but there is an option for a 170amp... Either may be good...

Persoanlly, it being a new truck I would just put another Batt instead of tearing that alty apart, thats me though....

i kinda figure if they give ya that much then the truck has to be pulling a lot of it just to run. Its not like my old yota with a 60 amp alt. If its a 130 or 170 figure 100 amps are going to running "stuff" on the truck. so that leaves me either 30-70 amps for charging the 1800...

Toyota NEVER has, and DOES NOT have a STOCK 235 amp alternator. Not even close. I wish they would, lol.
