What Can I Use Temporarily In Place Of An 80a 100% Duty Solenoid?

Everything for my air ride setup will be here friday except my 80a 100% duty solenoid. It will be here sometime after christmas. What can i use in place of that until then? Would just a standard fused setup work? What rating fuse should i use?

Please help me be hopping by the end of the weekend!

By switch it you mean have a toggle on it?

I've honestly never used a solenoid, and dont know anything about them other than i was told to wire it inline my power wire to my compressor instead of fusing it.

ford starter solenoid, or 2 maybe cause they aernt rated continous duty
I was told specifically not to use those by a couple different air ride companies.

I'm gonna call FBI, and see what they say.

Maybe because usaully when they break the lock up, so your compressor would keep running and if you dont have a guage or dont pay attention you could overfill your tank. A continious duty selonoid will get really hot and not fry with lower amperage where as i starter solenoid would take 1000amps for a second or 2. I honestly think I used them before in that situation. Back when I had an air ride setup there werent just companies you could call up, there were no kits so everything was peiced together. Of course this was 10 years ago or so. Try looking for a hydraulics shop/ewuipment shop. They usaully have stuff like that. Like mcmaster carr, and for some reason I thought boat places had them.
