4ohm or 2ohm

If the sub is a single voice coil, and that one voice coil has an impedance of 4ohm.....No, you can not.

If it's a dual voice coil sub (DVC), and each coil is 4ohms, yes, you can wire the coils in parallel for a final 2ohm load.
