4000.00 on new system

looks great ramos, gave me little goose bumps.but i have no idea what i am looking at.could you explain?i do know its behind the seat.if my stupidity is starting to irritate let me know i will stop posting

i think you should really think about some of this stuff before diving right in, if you dont know what your looking at in those pictures you probably are going to have a hard time making any system sound good...i think you should start off with my rainbow profi vanadium plugs that are for sale though...

maybe end up spending like 3k said and done and have some money left over

If he is 100% ignorant to car audio, even if he gets the best, it will sound like ***. Everyone knows the install itself is the most important thing. Also he will have no clue how to tune it properly. I honestly recommend you go to a reputable car audio shop in your area and have them install and tune it. Please do not waste $4000 on stuff people recommend over the internet. Go out and do some real life research, listen to many different brands, and maybe go to a few SQ competitions to get an idea of what you really want. I just don't want to see you spending all of that cash and be disappointed in the end.

if you don't have valuable assistance, don't post......
relax the guy post that he wants to drop 4 grand and doesn't give any specfics as to what he wants. it seems u had nothing useful to add either. Plus who in thier right mind has no clue how to spend thier 4 grand, when it comes to a big chunk of chagne like that i am not going to rely on what some one says over the interwebz

my opinion to you, make ALOT of research before buying ANYTHING. Also, I'd concentrate and invest in some NICE hu, amplifiers and install. Then you choose some nice component, and finally a sub in a GOOD enclosure to nicely fill the low frequencies...

go to an install shop and have them install it. I would look in the REVIEWS section, and do some research. I am starting to get irritated that newbs are comming on here and asking hypothetical questions. Do research and ask questions when you get to them. If you are asking someone to pick what to buy over the internet, go to an install shop and ask. You will get different opinions, but flashing a 4k price range, youll get some decent enough stuff.

at least I can ask specific questions inquiring about what he wants, versus '***, do some research'...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

there are many great midrange setups, and if you start looking at custom kicks, etc, is where you'll see some added expense coming in. Good installers will charge $45 and up per hour normal shop rate. JL,RF, Kicker, etc all offer great component sets. As far as HU, search around and see what double din you want that has the features you want. Amplification, I'd do a good class A/B on the front, power all dependant on what components you use. Same on subs, but IMHO use a good class D amplifier.

There are some manufactures that make custom enclosures that will fit right in your truck, with out a ton of mods. Most are smaller sealed applications, but with the wide arrayof subwoofers out now, there are many that can fit in the small sealed applications, and still have stealth install, and great output.
