the local dealer should know best...do you want subs under the rear and do you want good components up front, and one or two amps?

Well after having exp with stock driver location , proper imaging and stage placement means midrange kicks are a must . There is also plenty of room behind the seats in the back //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

With that kind of price range and wanting sound quality for a HU I would check into getting an Alpine W205 and a H701 processor. The truck comes stock with a double din unit correct? I would just rather fill the hole with another double din unit, and the W205 will give you good quality especially with the H701.

For a substage in most trucks mounting depth is the biggest killer, last ones I checked had some cubbies under the rear seat and would probably make a good place for subs but I don't know what sort of airspace you can get there or what mounting depth. Get some measurements and some reasearch on what you can fit. How much custom fab work do you want for your imaging up front, kickpanels will probably be necessary as stated above.

i really dont know what i want except for the highest quality sound possible for around 4 grand.i have been researching and it gets very confusing for the novice.makes me want to scream.2-ways,three-ways,midrangekicks,subs,amps,dls,dynaudio i dont knowwhat to do.please help before i put a gun to my head.

The dash is a DIN and a Half unless equipped with factory Navigation....But he could purchase the double DIN Bezel from Dodge for about $100.00 ...If he wants to run a double DIN
