I am revamping my setup and in the need of a 4 way active crossover. I have looked at Coustic and audiocontrol and not finding what I need.

Here are my prerequsites.

4 way capable

12-24db slopes (need to be adjustable)

1 High pass(1khz+), 2 bandbass (50hz-500hz, 80hz-3khz)(or close to these ranges), 1 low pass (60hz and down)

I would love to have it easily adjustable and marked in incriments.

1 RCA input and the 4 out. OR 1 main input for high, mid, low + 1 sub input and all four out.

I am lost...help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Far out, I would love to find the x-over you just described. Sorry boss, wish I could help. But I will def keep an eye on this thread.

It definately sucks not having something like this. I have been using Coustic and Profile 3 way crossovers for years. I took my 3 way out recently, and what a mistake that was. When I redo my install in the next week or so it is going back in.

Alpine H701. Does all that you want, and more.

Not sure if the new Eclipse Cd7000 will do what you want or not.

The Clarion DRZ-9255 is close, except I believe it only goes up to 18db/oct xovers.

Or, you could run a pair (two) 3-way crossovers. Or, get a HU with a 3-way xover, and also use an external 3-way xover.

Or, sell your amps and pick up something like the Kicker SX or Zapco Digital Reference with built in DSP's. Then you'd have bandpass/highpass/lowpass and selectable slopes on each independent amplifier channel, right there in the amplifier.

I personally chose the H701 route //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I guess I am just delaying the enevitable (SP?)...

I wanted to try and stray from that route, but I may just have to breakdown and get the P9 or H701 setup. **** I hate this addiction.

Ok guys, where can I get some info on the H701? Checked Alpines website, and a few other places and can't find it.

*** Forget it, I overlooked it.

is the contoller needed for the H701 or can everything be adjusted on the unit itself? i see myself in the future having a desire to do a 4-way setup
You must have the controller if you do not have an Alpine headunit that will control the H701. Mainly it is only the multi-media headunits that can control the H701 such as the DVA-9860, IVA-D300, etc

CD7000 does a three way crossover I believe (like the other Ecliipse units).

DRZ9255 is indeed 18db xovers (you can go to clarion's page and download the owners manual).

Someone has mentioned that last years higher end Eclipse is on Ebay for cheap and you can add a Kicker SX amp for cheap as well to do a split on your low end for a 4 channel set up.
