4 gauge wire help ??????

I have a kenwwod 1000X1 and a pioneer 300X1 amp. Should i run a 2 or 4 gauge wire to the distibution block. AND THEN run what size wire to what AMP??????

im guessing 2ga tot he dist. block then 4 to the 1000 watt amp and maybe 6 or 8 to the 300....but before we decide that...how many watts do the amplifiers put out and how many amps(current) do the 2 amplifiers draw???

9 amps all together.,,,does that sound right? and all together 1300 watts MAX,,,

about 660 RMS

so it only draws 9 amps between the 2 amps.....hmm.....u might not even need that large of wire at all....what are the individual amp and rms wattage of each amplifier?

to the distribution you'r only going to need 4gauge....and untill we get the other info i cant recmoend what size from the dist. block...check out below

basicly check each amplifier...tell me how many watts each puts out basicly seperaty instead of combined...

oh oh oh ok TOTAL amps drawn is 157...does that soud better

1 amp is 1000 watts and the other is 300 watts (max for both)

65 X 65 rms at 8 ohm and 280 X 280 rms at 2 ohms

well based upon the new info...3ga wire would be best....to the distributioln block...what are the amps used by each amplifier????

not to mentin that 3 awg is impossible to find..if it even exists..?
