4 18's... a little teaser

Please don't tell me james is building this or building you subs.
nope, i'm building the box and tc sounds is building the speakers. as unbelievable as that is lol

as for bracing, i've got top to bottom bracing between the speakers and 2x2's under the first baffle on the port for top to bottom bracing. also braced back to front by the port obviously, and braced in the middle from port to side on each side. where should i put more bracing?

note that this is not a competition build, so i'm not trying to squeeze an extra .4dbs out of this system. just a daily driver:suave:

**** those revos were sick! those should be sweet.

and i believe they are being made in san diego, i dont think the factories in china can make the 5200 tops since they've been discontinued for 3 or 4 years

which james were you talking about btw? rip james or james fahey?

man, for a box housing 2 ridiculous 18" woofs i'd put a brace every 15" at least on the large, flat panels, even if it's just a piece of 1x2.

James Pantazes(Rip) not F. James F is cool, he has my old 4500's and wmd2 motors.

Im too tired to figure out what you just said there, but if that pic shows your final bracing, you need more. You need, at the least, some bracing between the outer wall and the port wall. Id even consider a brace between the port walls, inside the port. A window frame brace job would be best though. Maybe its just the pic, but that looks like a very tall box with a lot of wall area that is not braced.

It's got bracing from side to port and in between port, pic doesn't show though. If it's oil canning I'll add more though. Box is 44 wide 38 deep and 24 tall. My only worry is not double baffling. But in my experience bracing is aboutv10x better than double thickness

Ya James f is the man. He's the one hooking me up with the tc sounds connection. He's got the best sub graveyard at his house I've ever seen lol
