I got a s15d today for 45u bucks it's in prime condition but surprisingly not loud my t2000 amp was destroying it but my audiobahn a1300hct.pounds it good and sounds better than with my Rockford .

I only paid 45for bucks for it was this worth it? And what box would b best for it right now the box is I believe original factory h/o box has the guy who made its name and has the model of the sub on it and was stuffed with polyfill says stillwater designs but could a nice ported box make this thing slam? I expected more but for 45 bucks its a nice 15ported its single coil 2 ohms

this is about a 350/700w sub, sealed ONLY. I had two Solo Baric 12c's back in the day, an an MTX2300x smoked em both at near full throttle the entire time. They were the best sounding subs I've ever owned... this was back in 2000 though.

Someone locally is running a pair in my old box (appx 3.5 cube per sub tuned @ 41hz). They actually get down really well. 600-700W max on those critters.

They are designed to function in small sealed box. You won't get the output, but they should sound nice if you don't have much space.

Yep, they were basically considered the first small-sealed speaker (even though the IDQ performed in a similar box). The availability of cheap watts over the past decade has relegated the old solo's to fairly average enclosure requirements these days, iirc. Nice nostalgia pieces tho.
