4 18's... a little teaser

just got the rough finish of my box done today. lots of sanding and staining and varnishing left to go

box is for 4 18" tc sounds 5200's with the black ti cone. Final net volume is around 16 cubic feet, with 220 sq in of port tuned to 30hz. fits by maybe half an inch from my back glass lol.

as soon as tc sounds sends the other 5200 tops i will repost with vids and pictures. I dropped one in today and sealed the other holes and it is loud and low. peaky has hell though obviously

16 cubes seems terribly small for 4 18's. And by half inch from the glass do you mean the top corner of the box or the port?

and tc recommends 3.4 cubes at 34hz for 1 18, so it should be pretty good. the qts on them is around .15, so they are tiny box woofers lol

I bet that box will kill the lows. What is the qes of the drivers?

got sick of dealing with angles and trying to fit it in my car, and i just decided i could do a better job doing a box like this than trying to squeeze a mediocre clamshell into my car

You know the upside to using a jigsaw is a bit less saw dust is generated...the down side not as pretty cuts haha..but hey no one can see them when the sub is installed.
