Currently in my closet I have a 12" SSA XCON and a Brand new 15" Treo SSi. I bought the Treo SSi cause I had it years ago and loved it.
I'm having a hard time deciding which one to run and need you help.
The more and more I read I see people commenting on how the box build and placement of sub and port play a huge role in how the woofer sounds.
So my car is a 2-door Chevy Tahoe, but I want to retain as much cargo space as I can. I plan on using a PDX 1.1000 for power so I will have about 1100 watts at 2 or 4 ohms. (The Xcon is D1 and SSi is D2).
Can the right enclosure make the 12" Xcon equally as loud as a 15" Treo SSi? Or no matter what the enclosure is the bigger woofer will always win out?
How big of enclosure would I need for the 12" to preform to its peak level and would I be nuts to not use the 15" woofer?
I welcome your thoughts and questions.
Thanks
