4 12s or 2 18s?

should i do 4 12" Rs or 2 18" BLs..both will be ran off a zx2500....

going into a 2dr jeep..
much has 2 18's sounds nice i think 2500 watts for each bl is a bit much..plus they are a bit under rated they do more like 27-2800 watts..if you where talking about the btl's then yes each 18 with a zx2500.1 would be great..so in this case i would go with the 4 12''

2 18''=508.92

4 12''=452.37

its not for each..1 zx2500 for both..

oh ok i misunderstood you..then man by all means go with the 2 18's has you can see you will have more cone area over the 4 12's..plus it will be more fof a wow factor..everyone has 12's and only a few have 1 18 let alone 2..so id go with 18's

18s would be nice they have a deeper tone and have a F3 note that hits lower hz in a higher tuned box in theory. u can wire both subs in series at 2 ohms for that zx
To my knowledge the BL's are the highest peaking least lows out of any line of FI..... The type r 12's go LOW. Out of the two setups you named if done correctly I have extremely confidence that the Type R's will be louder. As long as both setups are ported. Everybody seems to be on the FI bandwagon these days (EXCELLENT SUBS) But not the answer for every comparison

if thats what the birth sheet says and he provides the power with the right wiring, alt,and batteries i dont see why he couldnt do it?
Even with an ideal electrical system you will have impedance rise due to factors such as the box and car itself, i.e. if you amp is wired at 1 ohm it will not see that load all the time.

This is one of the reasons, imo, it's good to run a bigger amp that what your subs are rated for.
