3 Type Rs??!!! Saz1500?

Alright Everyone I am ordering 3 type R's today,

i want to power them with a Sundown 1500 watt amp...

Do i get the 4ohm subwoofer or the 2ohm subwoofer??

get the dual 4ohm, you'll be able to wire the subs down to a .67 load, which will work fine with the Sundown so long as you don't have a total shithole for a charging system.

If you don't want to use the amp to it's fullest, then yes, get the Dual 2's.

im getting a 18 farad cap....

also does it matter if my port box is .5 off? like i now it recomended 1.75 but i might get a 1.8 port volume

A dual 4ohm sub can wire down to 2ohms(parallel wiring). Then wire the subs together in parallel as well(+ to + and - to -) all the way down.

With parallel wiring, in order to figure out your potential ohm load, just didide the individual resistence(ohms) by the number of resistors(VC's or subs). 4ohm coils divided by 2 coils will give you a 2ohm load. 2ohms divided by 3 subs will give you a .67ohm load.

SAZ1500D will be perfect cause it's rated at 1500wrms at 1 ohm and you'll be wiring it to .67 ohm load as RyanM said, which will be like ~650wrms per sub which will be good.

I ran my 1500D at .5ohm for about 6 months and it never got hot(except for the middle of summer when it was always hot). I'd burp it a good number of times, with a good amount of distortion, and it still didn't have any kind of issues...granted, it barely saw below 13V.
