Sub and box

I Sundown SA-12 would work if you built the box and power it correctly. What amp will you be using? Just make sure that your mids/highs can keep up with the bass.

That Sundown will need/want more power. A lower RMS sub might be better for you. In the 400-500 rms range.

Sundown has a 5 channel the 1100.5 that does 75x4 @ 4 ohms and 800 rms at 1 ohm on subwoofer channel.

They are also going to be dropping their full bridge 5 channel very soon. The SBF1800.5


Could always go Taramps with a DS800x4 and MD1200.1


For 6.5" component set I would go with NVX VSP or Morel Maximos

I just thought he was stuck with that amp. The SA-12 with that amp would be a nice set-up in that car. His electrical should be fine with the Taramps set-up as well.

Popwars dual amp recommendation is solid. A lot of power in two solidly efficient and small footprint full bridge amps. Then there’s some solid budget $150-200 12’s that can take 1000 watts. You could even do a 1000 watt 10” In a ported enclosure giving up less space. 2.5 cubes vs 1.5 cubes

What sub do you recommend?

I would suggest a dual amp set-up. The SA is solid, but so is the Anerican Bass XFL or XR series. The XFL's are legit for beating them to hell. The XR is the SQ line. The XFL in a ported box will tear shit up. I had one a convertible BMW and it tore that car up.

I've never heard of those amps and just checked them out I'm going to get them holy crap they are good and very small. Thank you Popwar.
