3 Back Battery wiring?

can i wire my back batteries as #2 or will only #1 work? only diff is which battery in the chain is actually grounded..

Doesnt really matter from what Ive seen. Just go with which is shorter. Try running 2 runs of 1/0 for your ground. Just that much less resistance.

i figured it wouldnt matter because the circuit is grounded but i didnt know if a certain one has to be grounded. ive got like 23 ft of 4 gauge laying around so ima do like 10 run of that for the ground.(its only 22 inches to my ground..)
