3/4" birch plywood?

Which one will be better? My local lumber store has domestic and imported, the domestic is higher priced with less layers, about 5 and the imported is lower priced with more layers, about 10

I thought more layers were always better with ply.

Is that true about the more layers? The domestic is $60 per sheet and the china stuff is $30.
