2ohm and 4ohm

obviously theres a difference... Whats the difference and why is there different ohms?

For example single 4 ohm voice coil and a single 2 ohm voice coil.

Which is preffered does one use more power than the other etc. ?

Pobably the dumbest question all day but yeah I would like to know.

No difference except wiring options.

If you have an amp that will do 400w @ 2 ohms, then you'll need a single 2 ohm sub, or a dual 4.
