Hello, I'm new around here just joined the forum.
I am currently starting to purchase components for my 2nd system install. Previously I had done my ford ranger, currently I am installing in an 08 Chevy Colorado Crew Cab w/ tweeters. I had problems with my last install, the amp would over heat now and then in hot weather and I do not want that to be an issue again. For that reason I am selecting amps I feel meet or exceed maximum requirements.
I am here because I havent done a system of this scale before and I would like second opinions on the equipment I am purchasing and to see if there is anything I left out. I have listed every component I have and will be buying at this point. To my knowledge I feel I have found everything I need and nothing else will be required.
So far I have installed a Pioneer AVH-P1400DVD with GMOS to retain Onstar and door chimes.
So far my setup consists of:
Headunit: Pioneer AVH-P1400DVD (installed)
SpeakersF: Alpine 610C Component in front (ordered)
SpeakersR: Alpine 610 Coaxial in rear (ordered)
SpeakerAmp: Pioneer GM-58604 for speakers (not ordered)
Subwoofer: ebay under rear seat box, 2x Kicker 40CWRT82 (not ordered)
SubwooferAmp: Pioneer GM-D9601 (not ordered)
SubAmp wiring kit: Bullz 8ga
SpeakAmp wiring kit: IMC 10ga x2 (only come with 1 RCA, so cheap might as well buy another whole kit just for the RCA, I can use the extra 10ga to wire from my amp to my sub.)
Speaker Wire: 14ga 2 conductor

Speaker Wire: ebayDOTcom/itm/100-FT-14-AWG-GAUGE-SPEAKER-WIRE-RED-BLACK-/230850654250
My main concerns:
1. My front component speakers say they have built in crossovers. Are these junk, do I need active crossovers?
2. Also do I just splice the connection from the speaker to the tweeter since they have "Built-in Crossovers"?
3. Is the equipment I have selected of good quality and meant to jive with each other?
4. How much heat will my amps put off? I am worried about melting or burning carpet, the first time my old amp over heated I couldn't even touch it from how hot it had gotten.
5. Can I use the 10ga cable from my extra wiring kit to use as signal wire from amplifier TO subwoofer? Or is that too small?
6. Everything looks like it should work together and is good quality?
Thanks in advance for any helpful/insightful comments!
