I am shocked, I've read stellar reviews on all the hardware and I've done the math, the watts at ohmage all meet the demand, pioneer is name brand I figured I was way better off than MTX or ebay specials. Basically just want an all around good system with some nice bass for when I need it. Yeah I can build a box, Im a metal fabricator by trade so I'm good with tools and have experience working with wood (thats what she said) I've done alot of research and feel entirely confident with installing my self. My last setup was a 10" kicker sub, 4 channel kicker amp, 2 new kenwood speakers up front and a kenwood deck. Did all that myself, along with an engine swap, different seating setup and new carpet. I listen to rock & electronica mostly. anything from Queen to Daft Punk, The Eagles, Avenged Sevenfold, System of a Down Room? As in vehicle space? I want to keep my back seat 100% usable. Thats why I choose that sub box, meant to fit under my seat, not alot of space down there. I figured I could cut out some of the plastic paneling from behind the rear seats to mount my amps under the rear windshield and be hidden by the seats. Not enough room under driver/passenger seats for the slimmest of amps. I calculated $1400 total cost on all the equipment listed above. Dont want to break that, I already ordered the speakers (they arrive tomorrow) and I have already installed my head unit with GMOS. I am still shocked to hear these Alpine speakers and Pioneer $250 headunit are crap.
