Hey guys! I'm new here to the site, but I'd like to believe I'm not a complete amateur at car audio
Anyways, I have a quick question about the battery life of high output batteries. About 6 months ago, I purchased myself a Kinetik HC1600 High Output battery for my vehicle. It is being used as my starting battery for my car, as well as powering my JL Audio Slash 1000/1.
I purchased the battery after buying the amp from a friend because even at half gain, it would drastically dim every single light on my car! Anyways, now to the actual question! I am going to a drive in movie this weekend with a bunch of people, and I will be one of the people driving. Do you think with a crappy 500 watt RMS sub in the back, and the amp being so power hungry as it is, that my aftermarket battery will die before I get the chance to start my car to give it some charging time? I don't particularly want to start my vehicle during the middle of the movie, because as you can read in my signature, I don't have the best car around, it's got a small exhaust issue
the battery I am using has never died or been drained of life and needed to be jumped yet! I have the battery that originally came with the car as well that I might bring along just in case, but I kind of want to have my system lightly running during the movie because, well, the sound quality would be great //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
In conclusion, does anyone have any average times they would guess the battery would last without the engine running and the system at a tolerable, lower than "normal" listening volume?
Thanks for any help in advance guys! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
