$2500 Car Audio System suggestions?

Singer. Not stinger. Crescendo amps do not like vibration. They do make good power.

I'm a DD and XS power nutthugger. I've had about every sub out there and the new DD lineup is treating me very well. Soon as I swap out my sub amp to the DD ill be totally done with the audio. I am that happy.

Ah, I'm sorry I have been reading it as Stinger for some odd reason. Are there any DD subs you would recommend that would fit my wants?

In my experience the BL 15 had cleaner sound than my DD did but the DD was louder to the ear I can't really compare the BL to the SA's since I had them so far apart plus I had the BL in a different car than the SA's. Overall I would say they all made me happy and performed as I expected them too and they made me happy which is really all that matters to me since I seldom compete or get an opportunity to use a term lab. In terms of my 2K I have heard that they didn't like vibration but I think crescendo has remedied that by now or at least I expect that they have, I really haven't got to really use it to it's full potential since I haven't had any real subs to test it on currently I'm using about 300 watts from it on an alpine sub that I borrowed from a friend until the X's come out. I had a SAZ-1500 that before that I loved but I wanted to up my power a little and will probably up it more when I can afford to.

One thing that turns people away from DD is there new pricing imo. Also I tend to buy things used so that's why I owned a DD in the first place their products are great just pricey.

What DD model did you have and what kind of ballpark am I looking at, for price for a 15" or maybe even an 18" if you don't mind me asking?

I had a 9515e they use letters to designate their motor generation so to speak I think they are up to h or even i now the 95 series is basically DD's top sub unless you're getting into there neo motor which isn't something everyone has or needs the 9515 new is 800 and the next series lower the 3500's the 15 is 600 so like I said the prices are up there in comparison to some of the other brands that you've looked into.

Also the aesthetics are kind of tempting me to go with a full DD audio build, however the prices of the top tier amplifiers will eat up half of my budget alone. The M2b is the closest I could get to the same price of the crescendo, would you say this would be sufficient for the 9515/9518. I also saw they sell enclosures for their subs, is this better than your everyday pre fab box?

Like I said sadly the deeper I get into this the more questions I have.

Thank you for the heads up on the different mounting setup in the Subaru, is a 4 ch amplifier plus a Class D amplifier going to throw off my electrical system? I guess I'm accustomed to just running speakers off the HU. How hard is it to hook up a second battery in the rear and are there any downfalls to it?

After looking I have found a few options that interest me, if I could get some input on them that would be great. Also, am I going too big with a 1.5k rms sub?

Are there any recommended head units? This is mostly what I could find, Pioneer AVH-P6300BT, on crutchfield.

Also, is Stinger ok for cabling, that is sold at a local audio store here if it is?

Edit: Added another build, I will mix and match them if say a Sundown Subwoofer goes better with another amp etc. Also I found most of this through sound solutions audio, is that a pretty well known place on here?

If your looking for efficiency take a look at the ZED Audio amps. You could run a Leviathan III 6 x 190w @ 4ohm or the Draconia III 4 x 150w @ 4ohms and a Minotaur II 1 x 1500w @ 2ohm. With this set up the only thing I would recommend doing is a battery upgrade. These amps put out serious power and are extremely efficient. Many people here will agree. Pairing the amp with 2 Ultra Audio LV12s would be a killer set up. We sold a system very close to this to a guy with a 08 sti hatchback and he loves it.

The more I look into the brands the more I become unsure of what to get, it's going to end up driving me insane just settling on a subwoofer and amp for my setup.

I'm currently stuck between multiple brands

I'm stuck between: Ascendant Audio Mayhem 15, DD 9515, Sundown Audio zv3/4, and Tantric HDD 15. I'm not sure what ultimately will be the best for me and what enclosure/amp to pair with each.

Depending on how far a dealer will go on pricing of DD, I'm quite over budget with their MSRP and with the money I'm spending on electrical.

Also do they make a specific kit with the necessary 1/0 gauge wire for the Big 3 or do I just need to buy a second amp install kit?

Edit: I did send an inquiry for a Singer alternator, how much was your 300 amp and how long did it take to receive if you don't mind me asking?

I ordered mine in the middle of SBN so he was already backed up. It was around $400 without the bypass. Took about a month.

Is there any seller you'd recommend talking to on here that would sell DD quite a bit below MSRP and ship them? I'm interested in them if I can get the price a lot closer to the other offerings I'm looking at.

I don't think that's allowed. Just find the closes dealer, they have haggle room so play the game. They can sell the 9500 for the same as everybody else's 2500 watt sub.

While I'm sure you would be happy with DD I'd wait for the zv4 from sundown if you're going to get something that big they look extremely promising sorry I'm king of a sundown nuthugger.
