problem with bigger subs means the cone is heaver so it will take more power to get it moving to its full potential. from what i see the only thing that goes on the dp21 is the coil. im sure the spider/cone/basket config is fine just the coil gives up.

Good point and very understandable, if the 21" was in a league of its own, like you said bigger magnet and VC, it can be called the Death Penalty XL or something, of course i'd imagine it may cost more due to parts, but is that something you will be willing to pay?

But if you don't have the money for a BMW 745Li, then don't come on my lot asking for a discount so you can maybe afford it, and then writing in all the newspapers and craigslist about how my dealership would not budge on price and give me bad press.

We don't sell cars...we sell an image, a name brand, an ambiance, an experience, it's just a matter of the marginal willingness to pay.

The price is what it is...don't ask for hand outs because you have some bad press on a company. Go to a BMW dealership and tell them some kids on the internet said their cars are crap and they should give you 10% off on a new 745Li...and see what happens.

i personally would pay for it if i knew it could withstand more than 1500w daily and was really worthy of taking a beating. But i am a tightwad and wait for good deals. like my 50% off dealer cost i got through memphis this year which is why i am running all memphis in my astro when i build it.

Nick from I.A. just called me to talk about enclosure details as well. When an owner does that kind of thing personally, I really appreciate it. I have spoken to David on the phone before from RE back in the day, too and that is why they got my business. It's the details that matter. I understand that changes when companies get bigger, but if they make that attempt when starting out, that just moves them up the list of my favorite companies. My question to the people that had problems with any of I.A's products is what exactly happened, and could someone link to those posts if they exist? The subs do say 1,500 watts rms. Is that what they were giving them when they had problems? The subs do not handle a ton of power and nor do they cost an ungodly amount. That is why I don't understand why they are getting a tough rap from some users.
