Hi Nick,
How much would it cost me to prevent you from selling something to this guy? I know you need to pay the bills, but as I'm sure you'll agree, this has been a headache from the first post. There are a handful of sensible posts in this whole thread, and none of them are by the OP; this can only end badly.

The only posts with anything negative in here are from people who have never used IA, or have no idea how to design a driver. Blaming 1 (ONE!) failure on the driver having a 3" coil is comical at best. The complexity far exceeds your knowledge.

I was not trying to take advantage of Nick... stop being his girlfriend man! Nick is a business man, age 26 and owns his own subwoofer manufacturing company, and someone was making bad remarks about his products. I grew concerned, and looking at the price of the product with such concerns I became skeptical. To break such skeptic thoughts of spending such amount on such product it would be an easier decision to make if such said amount was less. Thus making a bad buyers decision when there was buyer aware statements about would not pose such surprise should such said product pose faults in operation. Are you telling me your going to spend 10,000 $ on a truck that’s being known for motor failure after 5 years 80% of the time? Would you feel better spending for example say, 6,000$ and take a chance your one of the 20% with no problems?

I am not saying IA nor am I suggesting anything equal to my exaggerated example, but it's merely a hyperbole. Please understand I was not taking advantage, but felt maybe a subwoofer that’s being said to not take much more than rated RMS that costs as much a world class woofer.

This I understand! What I find amazing is he is only 26 LOL ... I like imagined him all old and stuff sitting around o-scope'ing world class amps, and sitting around all day with hearing loss trying to get the best db rise and spending 24-7 looking up the latest metals and stuff LOL..

It's cool man.. I just jones real bad when I see something I want, and can afford it, but will put myself in a bind. I think everyone here knows the feeling. When you have to pick between two, but dont know which one you want most "RIGHT NOW".

Nick seem's cool as hell, and I do understand that he cant necessarily cut a deal on a driver if it's going to have 100's of people also wanting the same cut rate price. However this is just one person on this forum wanting to know of the possibility of a lowered price. I mean come on , right after I made the post about the subwoofer, someone starts dog'ing on the DP 21". Yet the LI's seem to be world class! Whats so bad about this DP 21" woofer. Someone telling you someone else bought 4 woofers, and had nothing but problems should raise a buyer beware flag real quik. Assuming the guy had a good install, but was abusing the subwoofer with over rated power and that was causing the woofer to fail. I guess brings me to my question: How much RMS is going to cause this woofer to fail ?

Why pay 700$ for a woofer thats going to fail if you for example give it 2000wrms 500wrms over rated, when you could just tack on another 300$, and get a DD. Best yet, why go DD and just get an LI. The point is not getting another woofer, but to address the issue of this woofer being known to fail and yet it's price is way up there.
