thats how it is for a majority of people on this board and in the real world. you either save up for it or settle for something you can afford.

i think its a ***** move trying to get a better price over a public forum like this. the guy doesnt owe you anything and has no reason to give you a better price. if anything, you should email him/ PM him about it.

Listen bro. I have had a couple DP's and they are great subs. The quality is awsome and the service Nick provides is GREAT! All i am saying is stop calling out Nick to give you a break for a sub on the forum when he owes you nothing. Learn how to use a PM or shoot him an email when your home. The first thing i know Nick will say is give me a call. He is a good guy like that. But stop acting like your owed something cause you have $500 bucks to spend. I am sure Nick would love to gain a customer and sale you his equipment. But in my eyes your going about this all wrong. Grow up man. If you do end up buying a DP 21" sub i am sure you wil love it! What are you going to power this sub with by the way. I am curious??

I just see dont see what the problem is, people complaint that for the size of the sub it should take more power, but it goes the same with any other sub. As the sub gets bigger, the prices goes up, such as with FI, SSA, etc.

Now from what i know, and correct me if i am wrong, all the FI Q's have the same size coil and all handle the same power, minus the bp option. But the price goes up when the size goes up, makes sense. Now the only difference is a bigger size will give you more sound, of course.

I think that goes with the DP, and how many 21" subs do you see out in the market, only one i see was that Autotek model. But my point is, all the DP have the same coil and features, and the price from a 12" is cheaper than an 18". But all handle 1500rms, just that the bigger the sub, the more you will get.

I think thats the concept people are missing here, is just because its 21" does not mean it has to handle more power, unless its a different line, and has more options or features. But its bigger than an 18" so it will sound better. Correct me if i am wrong but this is my opinion.

problem with bigger subs means the cone is heaver so it will take more power to get it moving to its full potential. from what i see the only thing that goes on the dp21 is the coil. im sure the spider/cone/basket config is fine just the coil gives up.

But if you don't have the money for a BMW 745Li, then don't come on my lot asking for a discount so you can maybe afford it, and then writing in all the newspapers and craigslist about how my dealership would not budge on price and give me bad press.

We don't sell cars...we sell an image, a name brand, an ambiance, an experience, it's just a matter of the marginal willingness to pay.

The price is what it is...don't ask for hand outs because you have some bad press on a company. Go to a BMW dealership and tell them some kids on the internet said their cars are crap and they should give you 10% off on a new 745Li...and see what happens.

i have a habit of buying things, whether or not its car audio related, that never work the way theyre supposed to the first time around. i always have to have things replaced, sent back, or fixed. dont know if its me or what, but it sux.

Read into Qts, BL, and how they relate to a smaller cone and larger cones, with the exact same motor...

I have an Orion HCCA 250r LOL ThATS ALLLLL I am going to be hitting this thing with, but since it can do 1500wrms, I figured why not get a class D Hifonics brutus 1500D, and use my Orion amplifier for some loud *** home entertainment speakers placed in my van in a custom build LOL.
