But if you don't have the money for a BMW 745Li, then don't come on my lot asking for a discount so you can maybe afford it, and then writing in all the newspapers and craigslist about how my dealership would not budge on price and give me bad press.

We don't sell cars...we sell an image, a name brand, an ambiance, an experience, it's just a matter of the marginal willingness to pay.

The price is what it is...don't ask for hand outs because you have some bad press on a company. Go to a BMW dealership and tell them some kids on the internet said their cars are crap and they should give you 10% off on a new 745Li...and see what happens.

Hi Nick,

How much would it cost me to prevent you from selling something to this guy? I know you need to pay the bills, but as I'm sure you'll agree, this has been a headache from the first post. There are a handful of sensible posts in this whole thread, and none of them are by the OP; this can only end badly.

The only posts with anything negative in here are from people who have never used IA, or have no idea how to design a driver. Blaming 1 (ONE!) failure on the driver having a 3" coil is comical at best. The complexity far exceeds your knowledge.

Most of you that know me, know that I don't post alot, I'm not that kind of guy. I don't come to the forum to brag and tell you what I can and can't do. I've always lived by a simple motto - make products that are better than anything else and take care of my customers and the rest will follow. I'm a simple man, I love life and the daily challenges of creating newer and better product. People that know me personally and have meet me at shows know who I am and what I do.

My mind works 24/7's to create and make better products. I rode to dB Drag Finals this weekend in the backseat of my own car because I need more space to setup my laptop and internet so I could FEA and work on new and better drivers. I zone out all the time working on these projects and many more OEM projects. I once got dumped when I got caught on a date with her drawing on napkin a new motor design for an OEM.

I can't give specific examples because of OEM's - but I will say in case of the new KOB driver, Tommy called me and said, "I need a woofer that can takes tons of abuse, be loud, be less than 6.5" deep and play in 1/2 a cube sealed at 165 db's to music, sound clean, and live to tell about it after 50+ 159 runs."

In 3 months they existed and we didn't lose any drivers at finals even after 10+ 159 runs and 2 or 3 of them back to back. Like I said I'm not here to brag, I'm just here telling you who I am and what I do.

Do you want a guy that builds your drivers that at 5:00 doesn't care anymore? Or do you want a guy that sleeps with a notebook by his bed for 3:00 am ideas, a guy that after college said to hell with IT Networking because it wasn't his thing and left all the money behind, a guy that's been dumped because your woofer was more important than her.....A guy that cares if you win or not.......

I was looking through vids from tommyk and another user and I seen those KOB subs and had to take a second look.. very nice work.
